Protocaster Guitars is a small boutique line of distressed guitars located in Brooklyn, New York. Each guitar blends the best features of the instruments from the 50's and 60's with the addition of discrete modern updates that improve playability and performance.
Every Protocaster guitar is finished in a paper thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer which is brought to a factory shine then meticulously distressed to give the guitar a very comfortable, cool, and authentic vintage aesthetic. From plastic to wood to metal, even down to the pickguard screw threads every part of the guitar is pored over and given laborious attention to detail.
Protocaster Guitars are best thought of as a discovered cache of decades old, weathered prototypes that just never made it to full production.
